Professional Experience

Katrina primarily focuses her practice in the areas of debtor/creditor rights, including commercial bankruptcy and receivership proceedings, banking, business law and transactions, contracts, real estate, and estate planning.

Katrina graduated with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2005. While in law school, Katrina was the Research Editor of the North Dakota Law Review, and completed a summer externship with Judge Kermit Bye of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Katrina received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.

Katrina joined the law firm of DeMars & Turman, Ltd. alongside her father in 2005 and became partner in 2011, when the firm changed its name to Turman & Lang, Ltd. On January 1, 2024, Turman & Lang, Ltd. merged its practice with Wold Johnson, P.C.

Katrina has presented at several State Bar Association of North Dakota continuing education seminars on the topics of bankruptcy and debt collection. Katrina has appeared before the North Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.

Katrina presently serves on the Practice Committee for the United States District Court, District of North Dakota and on the Ethics Committee of the State Bar Association of North Dakota. She previously served on the Practice Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Minnesota.

Katrina and her husband, Darin, have three sons. They enjoy traveling and spending time at the lake. Katrina is active in the non-profit community.
